for everyone

For those out there who has ever experience their fare share of fun, joy and laughter with mountain biking? Do share your passion....... *smile*

Currently, I have a hard tail Garry Fisher Super Caliber Team Series Mountain Bike which I cumtom made 7 years ago. And hey guest what my baby still look and perform flawlessly. I am thinking to pick up back my long lost hobby. Mountain Biking of cause!!!

Two weeks ago I approach my old time trustworthy supplier to custom build a Full Suspension Mountain Bike. My choice of frame will have to be those made direct from U.S. Germany or Italy. Now a days there are many high-end mountain bike that are made in Taiwan and China? Although they are well known brand but the welding and quality still am far from their master makers. If I'm gonna pay a bom on this bike might as well I take my time to find a suitable frame and component from the best. A good bike can actually last a decent rider a life time.

Lucky me as usual my buddy never fail to find me the kindda frame and component I wanted. At last I have made up my mind on a U.S. made full-sub MTB frame by the SOUL Cycle. For the front suspension fork I have decided on the latest FOX Talas RCL. After much negotiation the frame and fork cost me $3400. Slowly saving up money to build the bit and pieces a good MTB need *cool* My next goal is to get my hands on the Shimano XTR 2008 series. Geeeee..... that will cost me another $1750 *fuyoooo*  Its like the old days again *laugh~laugh* Its so much fun and enjoyable customising your very own Mountain Bike. There is no need to rush in bulding a good MTB? Take your time learn and understand the stuff you are buying. Their specifications and reviews. In all you have to really think hard and smart on the components that make a fantastic bike you have always wanted and ride with pride and confident. Save up......... *smile*

If anyone of you guys have a the same passion on MTB as I do? Please feel free to share your cool experiences and knowledge on MTB. Singapore is gonna build their very own very cool MTB track in Tampines. It all apart in the preparation of the Youth Olympic in 2010.

So what MTB are you riding boys? *wink*

I think we do have about 700 to 1000 very strong and serious MTB riders from East of Singapore. At least about 100 cool MTB cyclist actively doing their round island cycling from Tampines alone on every month end. The brotherhood of serious cyclist in Singapore are pretty strong. It has been a custom that we greet one another another on the road and that as cyclist we are ready to render servise anywhere whenever a rider having trouble on the road. As for me I do have my very own cool group of cyclist from Hougang. They come from all works of life and their age range from as young as 21 to some in their 60's. I had a hard time catching up with them. But hey with constant practise I will be as good as them in no time *wink* Hahaha..... Its a good thing that Singapore have alot of traffic lights? *wink* They are there for the cool and steady rider like "myself" to catch up with the rest *laugh~laugh* Eh hello...... Felan-felan kayuh lah abaaaang....... *gelak~gelak*

Used to Mountain Biking when I was younger..Still have my Klein soft tail which I bought for $3000 6-7 years ago. At 10++ kg, it is light. Dont have to peddle much.. Alluminium frame which does not have the bottom frame. It was a stunner then.. People offered me to buy my bike. Tapi sayang nak jual.. Now kadang² and jarang² cycle the bike and waiting for the right time for leisure cycling again...I've joined Alam's club...Club Kembang..

Kalau saya ikut pun best jugak... thanks bro, any bike would do fine... terharu saya, bro nak pinjamkan bike..., bila nak cycle?

Bekelah Falls... ah! yes, been there more than 3 times with different groups (in the 90's).... easy track, nice rock formation, serene, tranquil environment, clean air, good water and safe camping ground. On all my trips we would normally go to Cherating or Rantau Abang after that. Those were the days... ;)
